TESTIMONIALS

I recently caught the South Dakota State Record Tiger Muskie using your Eagle Claw classic hook. I am unsure of the exact size of the hook, but I know that it was an Eagle Claw classic. The Tiger Muskie weighed 37.7 pounds and was 47.5 inches long. It was certified as the new state record on May 30th.

My daughter, Kayla, caught a couple of fish on a #2 golden hook. The Catfish was caught on the same hook, but the day before the 4 lb. Bass. The Catfish and Bass were both caught on a live white grub in the same pond – about 10” deep (bottom). Your hooks are great. Thank you for making such good quality hooks.

In the past years, I’ve written you several letters on my grandchildren catching fish. I’ve given fishing seminars for over 30 years. Am always pleased when my grandbabies are the ones that get the big ones. I had just purchased these Eagle Claw #022BP Crappie hooks for my grandkids to use with minnows for Crappie. Kayla, my granddaughter, ught this 8 lb. Bass on the Eagle Claw Crappie hook. She’s one of the toughest of my grandkids, and the youngest. She has fished for 4 years. Congratulate your Quality Control once again. Your hooks are 2nd to none on the market today. Thanks for making them.

My name is William Stebbins. I am 47 years old and a dedicated trout fisherman. I have been using Eagle Claw hooks since I began fishing with my dad at age 8. He has been using Eagle Claw hooks since his childhood and he is nearly 72 years old. So you can see that Eagle Claw is a family tradition with us.

Now on the morning of 5/6/05, I was trout fishing at Lopez Lake in San Louis Obispo County, CA. I was fishing with a size 18 2X treble hook and sliding weight set up. I had 4 lb. test line on my pole. I noticed my pole was acting as if a fish were nibbling on the bait I had covering my hook. I picked up the pole and allowed some slack in the line. Suddenly the slack went out and I pulled back on the pole to set the hook. What happened next was 15 to 20 minutes of what fishermen dream of. My pole bent in half, my reel screaming and in the end my forearms burning. I was trout fishing mind you with light tackle. Imagine my surprise, when I see 50 yards out in the water, what appears to be a tremendous tail splash out of the water. After the fight, worn out as we both were, I managed to land a 16 lb. Blue Catfish. This is to date the largest fish I’ve ever landed.

I wish only to thank you for the superior quality of your products that allowed this fisherman’s dream to come true. I am now and forever an advocate of Eagle Claw.

You should have seen the one that got off. These two hefty Blue Cats were taken at Nee-Noshe Reservoir during the 2004 Memorial Day weekend while jigging with cut bait and using Eagle Claw saltwater hooks – I got tired of them straightening out my other hooks!!
